Specially designed for Ina Jansen who although not a stitcher was determined to stitch the Heidelburg Catechism Question and Answer #1 for her husband Don who quotes this from memory often and has a battered paper version hanging where he can see it daily. After spending hours trying to graph the lettering herself, Ina searched and found me and I took on the challenge.
Ina sent a typed letter of what she was trying to achieve along with a photo of the piece her husband cherishes. She was looking for lettering that would look like "old English", yet easy to read
in a deep blue and each Godhead of the Trinity to be done in gold and much larger. With the help of a neighbor who is a stitcher, Ina is planning on stitching just the lettering without the decorative floral motifs.
I can only imagine the delight when Ina's husband is presented with this surprise gift.
